Slow-Cooker Turkey Chili

WINNER WINNER Warm Turkey Chili Dinner! It’s protein-packed, low calorie and ohhhh so simple! Did I mention that it’s tasty too?! Top it with some cheese and light sour cream and holy flavortown… Game Over! Another perfect rest day meal! But, you can easily make this a workout day meal by swapping out the 93/7 for 99/1 Turkey, add black beans to the mix or serve it over a bed of brown rice!


  • 2.5 lbs. 93/7 Turkey
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 2 medium red bell peppers, diced fine
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 14 oz can No Salt Added Diced Tomatoes
  • 8 oz  small can plain Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 cup low sodium Chicken Broth
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt


Optional Garnishes:

  • Diced Avocado
  • Light Sour Cream
  • Shredded Cheese



  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the turkey, season with salt and cook, breaking up with a spoon until turkey browns and is no longer pink; place into the slow cooker
  2. Add oil or cooking spray to the skillet and saute the onion, garlic and bell pepper over medium heat for about 4 to 5 minutes.
  3. Spoon over turkey into the slow cooker and stir in the tomatoes, sauce, cumin, paprika and salt, mix until well blended.
  4. Pour chicken broth into the crock pot.
  5. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 6 hours. Serve with desired toppings.
