“Always pick exercises that feel good for you. Not everyone is able to do the Big 5 movements in a good position to give maximum effort. Front squats and a hing variation deadlift allow me to target some of my lower body muscles with good intensity and alignment. If you continue to do exercises that don’t create optimal alignment for your structure your muscles will not receive the desired stimulation and your joints will have to endure the unnecessary forces. The goal of exercise is to optimize your body, not degrade it and develop dysfunction. “
